I am thinking it’s a sign
That the freckles in our eyes
Are mirror images and when we kiss
They’re perfectly aligned
And I have to speculate
That God himself did make us
Into corresponding shapes
Like puzzle pieces from the clay
And true it may seem like a stretch
But it’s thoughts like this that catch
My troubled head when you’re away
When I am missing you to death
When you are out there on the road
For several weeks of shows
And when you scan the radio
I hope this song will guide you home
They will see us waving from such great heights
“Come down now” they’ll say
But everything looks perfect from far away
“Come down now” but we’ll stay
I’ve tried my best to leave
This all on your machine
But the persistent beat
It sounded thin upon listening
And that frankly will not fly
You’ll hear the shrillest highs
And lowest lows with the windows down
When this is guiding you home
They will see us waving from such great heights
“Come down now” they’ll say
But everything looks perfect from far away
“Come down now” but we’ll stay
you think too little
you think too much
you’re a robot
you’re so emotional all the time
what do i do
i would never want to hold you back
i don’t want to have to choose
what makes you happy?
think of it this way, if you have to decide, have to only. which decision will you regret less?
my baby sister just came in, hugged me, and said “happy international BFF day”
Hard times help me see
I’m a good man with a good heart
Had a tough time, got a rough start
But I finally learned to let it go
Now I’m right here, and I’m right now
And I’m hoping, knowing somehow
That my shadows days are over
My shadow days are over now
Just close your eyes
The sun is going down
You’ll be alright
No one can hurt you now
Come morning light
You and I’ll be safe and sound.
there’s a time when you realize, that every passing moment changes you. you will never be the same before or after or in between. life altering decisions and mistakes you or your loved ones make, will force you to redefine everything that you are. getting back to who ‘i was’, who ‘we were’. there is no such thing, because i am not the same person today as i was yesterday.
